Ferry booking Terms and Conditions
General
“SeyFerry” (we) act as booking agents for ferries on the website www.seychelles-ferry.com (“the Site”).
We are long-standing official business partners of Cat Cocos and Inter Island Ferries, with excellent ties to them.
The following is the dreaded “small print” which our lawyers say we have to add.
However, PLEASE REST ASSURED THAT WE WILL ALWAYS HANDLE ANY ISSUE AS CUSTOMER-FRIENDLY AS POSSIBLE. WE WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY, because that’s what makes us happy too and happy customers make our business grow.
But here you go:
By using and/or visiting the Site for making ferry bookings you agree to these General Terms and Conditions (“the Terms”) and our Privacy Policy and you expressly consent and agree to be bound by the Terms and all applicable laws and regulations that govern this Site and your booking.
Important Information
We act as a booking agent in respect of all bookings made on the Site. We have entered into contracts with the ferry companies and these contracts ensure that the ferry companies will act in the best possible way towards you, our customers. This means that in the highly unlikely event there is a problem with a customer’s booking, e.g. overbooking, changes to ferry schedules, and/or a mechanical problem with a ferry, the ferry company will seek to resolve the situation to your satisfaction at no added cost to you i.e. arranging another boat to transport the passengers. In the unlikely event that the ferry company cannot fulfil the customers’ requirements we will issue a full refund to you.
We undertake no responsibility for, and are not liable for, the misrepresentations, breaches of contract, breaches of statutory duty or negligence of any of the suppliers of services whose products and services are sold through us. This means that in the event of you suffering personal injury, illness or death as a result of any act or omission of a ferry company or other supplier of services (or their employees or agents) or you having any complaint about the quality of the services provided or having any other complaint at all, your sole right of redress will be against the independent third party who provided such service and we will be under no liability at all (whether in contract, tort or otherwise howsoever).
You accept that we have not in any way assembled your travel arrangements for you. Your travel arrangements and other services are not a package and do not fall within the meaning of The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.
By proceeding to book ferry services through the Site, you accept and understand that ferry schedules are subject to change without prior notice. By proceeding to book through the Site, you accept that you will indirectly be entering into a contract with the ferry company and therefore any claims or complaints should be made directly with the ferry company. In the event of any claims or complaints please also contact us at info@seyferry.com.
You understand that we may not have conducted any quality or other checks on the ferry companies and we make no representations about the suitability of the services offered for sale through the Site. The inclusion or offering for sale of services does not constitute an express or implied endorsement or recommendation of such services. We do not guarantee the accuracy of, and disclaim liability for any inaccuracies relating to the services offered for sale through us.
Nothing in these terms of use shall operate to exclude or limit our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Where you, or any of the people that you are booking on behalf of, are in breach of any of the provisions of these Terms or contravention of any laws or rights of a third party, We reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund or compensation in any way and recover from you any costs incurred as a result of your behaviour.

CANCELLATION AND REBOOKING POLICY
a) CAT COCOS BOOKING AMENDMENTS
All bookings may be amended up to 3 working day(s) prior to the departure date.
Should a change in travel fall within a higher/lower price category or rate adjustment, you will be charged/refunded the difference in fare.
Within 3 day(s) before departure, dates/times may only be changed once, subject to availability and ferry company approval.
Any additional changes, within 3 working day(s) before departure, will be considered a cancellation and are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
All amendments for passengers who are already in the Seychelles within 24 hours before ferry departure have to be done directly at the Cat Cocos office by the passengers themselves as there is a fee to pay for the amendment.
In the event of a flight delay, you may normally take the next ferry (subject to availability and ferry company approval) without additional charge, as long as you inform us of your flight delay before departure of the ferry. However, there is no legal entitlement to this rebooking.
In case of delayed/cancelled flights, any request to modify a ferry reservation must be received within 2 hours from the time the airline issues notice of flight delay/cancellation. This means that if you know before takeoff, you must inform us by sending an email to delay(at)seychelles-ferry.com, with your new flight details. If your flight is delayed and you inform us before ferry departure, you will usually be put on the next available ferry, without surcharge. Over the years, this has been handled by the ferry companies without any problems, subject to availability. However, there is no legal entitlement to a free change. If you fail to inform us by sending an email to above mail address at least 2 hrs before ferry departure time (Seychelles local time), you will be considered a no-show by the ferry company, with a 100 % cancellation fee.
b) CAT COCOS BOOKING CANCELLATIONS
All bookings may be cancelled up to 3 working day(s) prior to the departure date and will receive a refund from us, according to our cancellation policy.
Cancellations within 3 working day(s) of departure and no-shows are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
c) CAT ROSE AMENDMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
All bookings may be amended and/or cancelled up to 1 day(s) prior to the departure date.
However, if you have already completed the first part of your journey (usually the journey between Praslin and La Digue) and have received a return ticket, you must cancel the journey at least 2 day(s) before departure by e-mailing us, notifying Inter Island Ferry and returning the unused ticket to them.
Note: Working days for amendments are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 15:00 hrs, Saturday 08:00 to 11:00 hrs Seychelles time. Sunday is closed for amendments, so any amendment for travel on Mondays and Tuesdays has to be done directly at the Cat Cocos office within 24 hours of the trip.
In any case, it is your duty to notify us in due time for any cancellation and / or amendment as all refunds will be made by us. Kindly use our cancellation and amendment form.
Payment
All ferry tickets have to be paid for in full on this website. Alternatively. you may pay to our bank account which is only possible with enough time to allow for the bank transfer to go through.
In the event of price increases for which we are not responsible (e.g. ferry company tariff increases, official tax increases, etc.), we must offset the difference against the payment already made. If the payment is not made before departure, we will cancel your booking.
We reserve the right to allocate a payment to a waiting invoice, so payments need not be matched with the invoices. So in the unlikely event that you have an unpaid invoice and an on account payment for another ferry trip, we may use your payment for the first unpaid ferry trip.
